Halal Food AI is made by the Halal Food AI team, to make checking packaged food faster than reading every ingredient list by hand.

The app is built and maintained by the Halal Food AI team. In the App Store and on Google Play it is listed as Halal Checker: Food Scan.
Why it exists
Ingredient lists use names and E-numbers that rarely say where an ingredient comes from. Checking them one by one in a shop aisle is slow, and easy to get wrong. The app does that reading for you and shows which ingredient raised a question, so the decision stays yours.
How we correct mistakes
Anyone can report a result from the app's result screen. Reports are reviewed against the product's ingredient list, and when a report holds up, the product data or the rule is corrected for everyone. If you find a mistake on this website, email us.
